purge — a Mac storage cleaner for developers: free up disk space from the terminal

Your Mac is full of junk that regrows itself. Purge it.

One scan finds every gigabyte of regenerable build output, cache and log. It deletes only what you leave checked.

Install once. Then run purge from anywhere — it scans your whole home directory and opens the review screen below. Or skip the install: npx purge-cli@latest always runs the newest version. purge makes no network calls, so it never checks for updates itself — installed a while ago? Run the install command again to get the latest. If purge hits macOS’s built-in disk-buffer tool (“Operation not permitted”), run purge-cli instead.
